Crouching Tiger, Hidden Brothel

Wow! How did I miss this one? Xian Gao, who played Bo the bodyguard in the hit film "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" was busted for allegedly running a prostitution ring out of his Port Jefferson martial arts school! Xian Gao has a regular ad in the Village Voice. Sorry this story is already a month old - you probably already know about it. If anyone knows anything about this, if you're a student, a customer, please write in and let me know. Is this bogus? Was Gao set up? Why would you need to run a brothel if you're a movie star and own several martial arts studios? Hmm... Maybe someone was running prostitutes out of the school without Gao's knowledge. After all, if you've got five schools, it's got to be hard to keep track of them all.

NEW YORK, NY, United States (UPI) -- An actor and trainer for the movie 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' was arrested in New York for running a prostitution ring out of his kung fu studio.

Police said the Long Island studio run by Gao Xian, 47, contained a massage parlor that was actually a front for prostitution, the New York Post reported Thursday.

Gao was charged with promoting prostitution and criminal nuisance and three female employees were arrested for alleged prostitution in the Wednesday raid.

The Post said Gao appeared in numerous martial arts movies in addition to the hit, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon."
